A Powerful Collection of New Works Exploring Creativity, Transformation, and Inner Landscapes
Ceres Gallery is thrilled to present “Evocative Abstractions,” a compelling solo exhibition featuring new works by contemporary painter Marcy Elise Bernstein. The exhibition opens September 2, 2025, and runs through September 27, 2025.
Bernstein’s latest collection presents an intoxicating fusion of paint, photographic abstractions, and wax on distressed surfaces. Her bold stripes and bars emerge through primitive, instinctual brushwork that commands attention and invites deep contemplation. These large-scale, dreamlike canvases pulse with lush, slashing brushstrokes and unexpected color combinations that create visual poetry about creativity, sexuality, and the human experience.
