Vocational and Educational Services for the Disabled (VESID) of New York State said “What do you want?” So I got a Linhof Medium Format camera, tripod, film, accessories and a video camera. Did 1,000 Town of New Paltz meetings of all different boards and committees, and with that money bought more cameras, lenses and books, photography books, studied every photo from Niepce forward. Landscapes are where the Earth and Sky meet; a photograph is a simple statement of the lens; Picasso said “Now that there is photography I can quit painting“ and that there is no competition amongst photographers.  I also did photography for the local newspaper, since gone out of business, the New Paltz Times out of Highland.  They bought the film and developing I got to go in everywhere as Press, like a Weegee.
