Creativity through visual artistic expression is an important part of the richness of life. As a painter my practice centers on responding to the beauty and intrigue of the world around me, drawing inspiration from both nature and the varied human experience. I work predominantly in pastels, a medium I’ve been drawn to for its vibrant colors and immediate expressiveness.  My subject matter reflects my curiosity about the world, ranging from luminous flower studies and expansive landscapes to quirky portraits and expressive animal figures. This multiplicity extends to my artistic approach also since I enjoy experimenting with oil painting, watercolor painting and pen and ink drawing.
