My work as an artist and painter is rooted in a deep connection to my love of nature. Working primarily in oils, I draw inspiration from the landscapes of the Hudson Valley and from scenes encountered during my travels. I love painting plein air, it allows me to respond directly to the atmosphere, changing light, and energy of a location. Whether standing along the banks of the Hudson River or facing the dramatic forms of Storm King and Breakneck Mountains, I strive to capture not only what I see, but also the feeling. Ultimately, my goal is to create work that invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and reconnect with the beauty and spirit of the places that surround us in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
